Matthew Vaughn es el nombre que se rumorea para dirigir la nueva película del agente con licencia para matar que se centrará más en el argumento en vez de la acción y los gadgets.

Eon Productions dijo que quieren un Bond más cercano a Desde Rusia con Amor (From Russia With Love, 1963) con un argumento que no se centraría en la acción y los gadgets. Se desconoce si MGM aceptará esta nueva orientación.
